My love for dogs began as a child as I was raised with both Golden Retrievers and Poodles. We always had a dog, and they were always my best friends. When I got married 25 years ago, I knew it was time to find a furry child all our own. His name was Charlie, and he was the sweetest and most gorgeous Golden Retriever and best friend anyone could ever ask for. Many years later our love for Goldens and Poodles continues, and we have opened our hearts and lives to new best friends and members of the family both Goldens and Goldendoodles.
We are located in the San Diego, California area. We specialize in breeding F1B Standard Goldendoodles ranging from 55 to 80lbs., and we are passionate about creating a beautiful, healthy, and structurally sound line of Goldendoodles that you will love and will be a part of your family.
We love God, our country, and others. We pride ourselves on honesty, integrity, and ethical breeding practices.
Our dogs are part of our family and their health is of the utmost importance; therefore we are members of the Goldendoodle Association of North America (GANA) and abide by strict health testing standards and recommendations which include DNA and OFA testing prior to breeding. What is GANA? Goldendoodle Association of North America, Inc.(GANA) is a non-profit organization established for Goldendoodle lovers, both breeders and pet owners to promote ethical breeding and responsible pet ownership.

What is a Goldendoodle?
Goldendoodles are a mix between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. The Poodle and Golden Retriever are well loved breeds for a reason, and by putting together the highly intelligent, affectionate, non-shedding and playful Poodle with the loyal, friendly, and intelligent Golden- magic happens- Goldendoodles.
Coat Types of Goldendoodles
There are four main types of coats for Goldendoodles: flat (improper coat), wavy, curly, and straight. Flat coats are called improper coats and we do Not produce dogs with this type of coat.
All of our breeding dogs have been DNA & coat tested and ALL our puppies here at Helix Hills Goldendoodles will have wavy coats and proper furnishings (the adorable fluffy fur on the face that gives a Goldendoodle the scruffy look)

Are Goldendoodles hypoallergenic?
We do not guarantee that our dogs are hypoallergenic as allergies are extremely complicated and shedding is only one part of allergies. Although Goldendoodles are low shedding a person can be allergic to a dog's saliva, dander, and allergens carried on dogs. If you are concerned about your allergies and would like to partake in our baby blanket testing service for an additional fee, please let us know. With this service a baby blanket that has been with your litter will be given to you to take home to put your mind at ease before welcoming home your new little one.
